In 2003, with grants from the Arkansas Humanities Council and the National Endowment for the Humanities as well as contributions of time and money from many supporters, SARA collected materials and information about every school that had existed in the twelve counties of southwestern Arkansas. These materials range from teacher's contracts, lists of students for various years, newspaper articles from school boards, pictures of classes, and surveys that were sent out by SARA to past students. The materials and information are arranged by county, school name, and district number. This collection is searchable by name.
