Be a Volunteer

SARA owes much to volunteers whose countless hours through the years have helped make SARA the premiere research facility on southwest Arkansas.

SARA salutes Magdalene Collums. Magdalene Collums has been a volunteer and then employee at the Archives since it was founded in 1978. She retired in 2002 and is now our Archivist Emeritus. She has a degree in English and taught in the Washington area for 13 years. She is also a prize winning author and poet. Most of her writing has been about events and people of southwest Arkansas.
